Information about: additional artwork, contributions to blogs, my own blogs and threads on other networks, message exchanges with philosophers, scientists, and artists during my research for Arctificial Territory.

These works have either contributed to my thesis or have become separate individual artworks within my research.

Additional Artwork

Additional artwork contributed to the research on Arctificial Territory. Audio works helped to produce texts for the videos. “Parcours” informed Arctificial Territory by contextualising developments in robotics, social applications of AI, and transhumanist concepts with a visual journey through Second Life.

I have put two profiles on Researchgate. Gudrun Bielz follows the research of Gudrun Bielz, a clone perhaps, on researchgate.com. The clone follows the research of the original that might be a clone herself and vice versa. There are two Gudrun Bielzes on Researchgate, two different artist personae – one the original, the other a replica. One can add many more Gudrun Bielzes to this chain and create a quasi-infinite feedback loop.

I would like to introduce the blog section with a text written in summer 2011 after extensive blogging and discussions with scientists and others. Often computer scientists use the word troll to dismiss somebody who does not display the right scientific and technological knowledge. This made me write the following text on trolls.

  1. Efstratios Filippidis

Group on Facebook

Efstratios Filippidis (http://www.filippidis.org/index/subjects.html) has erased me from the group and banned me when I told him that I do not agree with his statement, “We can defeat death!” He seems to see me as a heretic – as he believes in immortality and I do not believe that we can ever become immortal – though I am convinced that we will be able to live longer due to new technological and biological developments.

I responded to his reaction of blocking and erasing me without giving me a chance to defend my position on my WordPress blog Gudrun Bielz.
